I’m Cécile Marie Mathis — the artist behind ArtCe. My Swiss–Argentinian roots run through everything I create, from the colors I’m drawn to, to the rhythms and forms in my paintings. Born in Buenos Aires, I spent years in Patagonia before settling in Switzerland — places whose landscapes, light, and textures continue to shape my work.

 

After a career in education and cultural work, I followed my curiosity into formal art studies and diverse techniques — from Mokuhanga printmaking to experimental mixed media. Today, I work from my studio in Turgi, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that invite you to pause, reflect, and enter into a quiet dialogue with the canvas.
